Membership with ADLS to become a Contributing Member is available to persons that are ineligible for membership as Lawyer Members or Legally Qualified Members but can demonstrate an interest in or engagement with the law, for example, Law students and Legal Executives may apply to be a Contributing Member.

The 2019/20 membership term runs from 1 February 2019 to 31 January 2020. The membership fee for this term is $225 plus GST per Contributing Member. Applications from eligible persons may be accepted at any time during the year and the membership fee will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for any part-year.
NZ Legal Executives who are employed by an ADLS member, are able to join as Contributing Members for a special discounted rate of $50+GST, per contributing member, per year, (for those joining part-way through the annual term, this special discounted fee will be calculated on a pro rata basis for any part-year). If a NZ Legal Executive holds a legal qualification, they are eligible to apply to join as a Qualified Member, for the same discounted rate.
Note: All membership applications submitted to ADLS will require verification and may take time to finalise.
It is important to note that only Lawyer Members and Qualified Members are eligible to vote and be nominated for Council.
Membership fees paid to ADLS are non-refundable if a member decides to terminate their membership part way through the membership period.
