JustCommunity offers a mix of genuine and real human rights law cases affecting real people and local communities.

They have a team of consulting lawyers, psychologists, academics and multi-disciplinary practitioners across a range of key areas. JustCommunity's programs are designed with assistance and guidance from this team.

Opportunity

This position requires someone able and passionate about human rights and about its application to communities and individuals.

JustCommunity do everything from court cases (mainly criminal) to community advocacy and are also assisting Christchurch communities.

The focus is on high priority cases and this experience is likely to be different from standard law firm experiences (based on feedback received from previous students).

This means JustCommunity usually has a high demand for roles and you’ll need to make clear what may set you apart in doing this work.
