Blair Edwards Employment Lawyers advise on all areas of employment law. The practice covers all contentious and non-contentious employment-related matters, which includes delivering day-to-day advice to clients through to representation in the Employment Relations Authority and courts.
They are a tight-knit team of five barristers, split between Auckland and Hamilton, who focus on creating a relaxed and friendly working environment, and providing clients with top-quality advice and representation.
Blair Edwards Employment Lawyers are looking for a personable fourth year or higher law student, who has an interest in employment law, to provide on-going assistance to barristers in their Auckland and Hamilton offices.
You need to be driven, hard-working, reliable, and be able to show initiative, whilst still maintaining a good sense of humour and interests outside of work. Candidates who have completed, or are completing an employment law paper at university would be preferred.
You will work from their offices in Chancery Street, Auckland Central, and perform an array of duties from assistance with preparation for litigation, through to various drafting and research-related tasks. A primary aspect of the role will be undertaking other general administrative duties such as billing and other day-to-day tasks as they arise.
You will be paid $20 per hour, and be employed on either a casual or part-time basis (this will be discussed with you during the interview) with a commencement date to be confirmed.
Preference is for the selected candidate to start immediately, however they could be flexible for the right person.
