**POSITION FILLED** Part-time, paid opportunity - Law Firm Office Assistant

Robertsons is a market-leading boutique law firm specialising in insurance litigation. It is made up of highly regarded, professional but fun people and based in stylish, contemporary premises in the General Building on Shortland Street.

Robertsons is looking to recruit a law student for an Office Assistant position.
This role is key to the firm’s support function, as it provides assistance with both firm and client administration. The role will require you to work fairly autonomously, but with the guidance and support of the firm’s lawyers and reporting to the Office Manager.

Your responsibilities will include such things as:
• Discovery
• Filing of pleadings
• Collating files for Court
• Photocopying, printing and scanning
• Updating the loose-leaf library service
• Monitoring and ordering kitchen and stationary supplies
• Running out-of-office errands
• Opening and closing files

Your employment will be casual, meaning your days and hours of work will be flexible. This has worked well to date, for both the firm and the students we have employed.

The hours per week will depend on the balance between our work flows and your availability. Initially, we envisage the role could require up to 15 - 20 hours per week (depending on our work requirements and your study/exam/holiday schedule) and after the first few months, it is likely to reduce to around 10 hours per week. It would be ideal for the hours be spread evenly across the week though we are willing to work in with your timetable to the extent possible.

Ideally you will have some professional office administration experience. You will certainly be reliable, conscientious, organised, highly attentive to detail and used to working to high standards. You will be self-motivated, a good communicator and team player, as well as prepared to do whatever is necessary to get the job done and done well. It would be preferable for you to be in your early years of law school so that you are in a position to commit to this role for 1-2 years.
This role is available, ideally for an “as soon as possible” start.

Robertsons is located at Level 2, General Building 33 Shortland Street, Auuckland.
