Zone Law would like to offer the opportunity to a final year law student to work alongside one of our junior lawyers in our trade marks team. The majority of the Applicant’s time will be spent learning about trade marks and the work undertaken by trade mark lawyers including searches, legal proceedings, and IP management, by watching and learning one of our lawyers as he undertakes his day to day work. Some of your time would be spent helping with management of trade mark processes including scanning and filing of documents, proof reading letters, and drafting form letters. No previous experience is required but a genuine interest in IP is essential.
The position would last around 4-6 weeks although there is some degree of flexibility. The experience is to allow the applicant to see a wide range of IP matters and learn about what a typical few weeks is like for a trade mark lawyer. There may be opportunities to attend client interviews.
