Committees Update Event
ADLS Committee members joined ADLS Council members at Chancery Chambers on Monday 19 May 2014 for an update, overview and discussion of some of ADLS’s key focuses in 2014.
The well-attended evening represented part of ADLS’s ongoing commitment to provide more opportunities for the ADLS Committees to get together, work together and connect. President Brian Keene QC addressed those assembled about efforts towards increased communication within the organisation, both between Committees and between Committees and the Council.
He emphasised the important role Committees play in enabling ADLS to speak out on key issues. As an example, he updated those present on the progress of ADLS’s submissions to the Education and Science Select Committee on proposed University Council changes under the Education Amendment Bill (No. 2) (as per the article on page 3).
A good evening of connection was enjoyed by all.
