27 MAR 2018 17:30 - CHANCERY CHAMBERS, AUCKLAND CENTRAL
**This event is now full**
Join us for a special evening with Helen Brown, a young New Zealand lawyer currently working in the Appeals Chamber Office of the President at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon in the Hague, an international criminal tribunal focusing on terrorism offences committed in Lebanon in 2004-2005.
Helen is returning to New Zealand for a brief visit and will share insights about her extraordinary career path from NZ criminal lawyer to her current position in the Hague. Helen will discuss the range of career opportunities for lawyers within the United Nations, including an outline of the UN structure, information on the qualifications and experience such as international organisations look for, as well as tips on how to land that dream job. Questions will be welcomed following the presentation and there will be the opportunity to mingle over drinks and nibbles.
