The processes involved in obtaining approval for a subdivision are complex. Good planning is key. Benefit from the insights of a lawyer, the Council and a surveyor, to understand the finer details and various factors at play.

Roger, a Fellow of the Institute of Surveyors, has been employed as Senior Subdivision Adviser by the Manukau City Council and Auckland Council since 1975, working mainly in the evaluation and consents for land subdivision and development. He has been involved, on the Council’s behalf, in working committees and making submissions to select committees in respect of major legislation including the Resource Management Act and the Local Government Act.

Ian McCombe

Ian has more than 35 years of experience in a widevariety of property law and advises local authorities and private commercial clients on a broad range of property law issues. Over the last ten years, Ian has advised local authorities on property matters relating to complex subdivisions including the drafting and implementation of resource consent conditions and preparation or review of associated documents.
