The Council consists of the President and four other elected members with the three appointed Council members (1 x Appointed Lawyer Councillor and 2 x Appointed non-lawyer Councillors).

Marie Dyhrberg Small  

Marie Dyhrberg QC

Marie Dyhrberg QC is a senior barrister specialising in criminal law and appears regularly at the District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal in New Zealand. She also appears with clients before the Parole Board. Her experience and expertise were recognised in her appointment as Queen’s Counsel in 2014.

Tony Herring

Tony is a Partner at Mortlock McCormack Law in Christchurch practicing in the areas of Commercial and Property Law, with an emphasis on Commercial Leasing and Employment. He acts for a number of Crown clients as a member of the All of Government Property Law Panel and is a Notary Public for the South Island.

Stephanie Nicolson

Stephanie is an experienced senior litigator at Lowndes Jordan whose main area of practice is commercial litigation. She was admitted to the Bar in 2003 and holds bachelors degrees in law and science. She specialises in civil litigation, primarily in the context of commercial and contract law.

Michael Wallmannsberger Small  

Michael Wallmannsberger

Michael is an experienced cybersecurity consultant and professional director, having held a variety of governance and security leadership roles. He is currently chair of the CERT NZ Advisory Board, a group of industry experts that advises the Government on the operation of New Zealand’s computer emergency response team (CERT), and Chief Information Security Officer at Air New Zealand.
