To ensure the continuation of all member benefits, members who have received invoices already, must pay by February 1, 2010. If payment has not been made by this date, membership status will automatically change to "non member" and all pricing on ADLS Inc products will increase by 50 per cent.
Members are entitled to preferential pricing on all ADLS Inc products and service including more than 200 Web Forms and precedents; Continuing Legal Education seminars; Trust Accounting Bureau services; the New Zealand Barristers & Solicitors Directory, receipt of Law News each week along with the emailed Law Society Bulletin; and legal books and publications from the Law Society Store.
In addition, membership provides eligibility to special interest committees, Bar Dinners, Recently Admitted Members (RAMs) evenings and many other social and networking events throughout the year. Members can also make significant savings by having access to the society's partnership schemes offering discounted pricing for members with Glengarry Wines, American Express, ASB Bank, Dymocks Newmarket, Unity Books, Seba Bar in Fort St, Quay Travel, First Mobile, Top Policy Insurance Reviewers, Financial Synergy Ltd, The Experience Group Ltd which specialises in corporate events; Warehouse Stationery, Mint Print Solutions and the creative design and publishing company Met Design.
If needed in times of difficulty, members of ADLS Inc can access the society's support services like the Members Special Fund and the Friends Panel. For a law firm to gain preferential pricing, at least 50 per cent of the lawyers within the firm, must be members of ADLS Inc.
The membership fee can be either charged to personal or firm accounts or can be paid by credit card on the society's website, www.adls.org.nz
