The ADLS Library and Research Centre has one of the most comprehensive legal collections in New Zealand. In addition to hard copy legislation, law reports, texts, journals, we have access to a broad range of New Zealand and international case law and texts in electronic format. We also have a number of Special Collections including the Harold Evans Peace Collections. Our collection development principles and processes are described in our Resources Policy.

LINX database
LINX is the foremost index to New Zealand case law and legal writing covering the last 20 years. It is created by the law society libraries for lawyers and law librarians, and updated weekly. Cases are received from the Courts directly and indexed by a group of expert headnoters. Also indexed are all the contributing libraries’ textbooks and a wide range of selected journal articles.
Members can access LINX for free at the High Court and branch libraries, or subscribe to it online or on CD. If you use LINX at one of our libraries or subscribe to Linxplus you will get the convenience of links to the full text unreported judgments (in PDF format) and all reported cases subscribed to.
For more information about LINX and how to subscribe see the LINX website.
