A Recently Admitted Member (RAM) is a practitioner admitted to the Bar within the last five years and holds a current practising certificate. They are more commonly referred to as a RAM.
At Auckland District Law Society Incorporated, RAMs are represented by the RAMs Committee which works to actively involve the newest entrants to the legal profession in the Auckland legal community, and provides networking opportunities for new practitioners to meet other lawyers.
Some of these events include 'Boardroom Bashes', Trivial Pursuit® evenings, annual dinners and ‘Meet the Judiciary' evenings to give RAMs the opportunity to interact with members of the judiciary and share some of their experiences and observations.
