We have an exceptional opportunity for a senior litigation lawyer to join the in-house legal team. This person will provide specialist expertie across the business and be responsible for managing the litigation and dispute resolution portfolio. This is a key senior role within the legal team requiring someone who engages quickly with the business with first rate technical ability and experiences. Ideally the role will be based in Auckland.

Legal work will be undertaken both in-house and with panel firms. A key part of the role will require close liaison with the General Manager on a range of litigation-related strategic issues, as well as managing the company's major litigation. You will also support the business units to identify and manage litigation risk and advise generally on recent and relevant legal developments. As a senior member of the in-house team you will be a mentor to other lawyers and contribute positively to the team culture.

Ideally you will bring to the role:

• A minimum of 10 years' commercial litigation experience.
• Expertise in regulatory, competition and/or financial services litigation.
• Well developed influencing skills with the ability to manage complex and competing demands.
• The ability to work autonomously in a strong team environment.
