ComLaw
ComLaw, (Commonwealth Law) incorporating the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments (FRLI) is the new legislative database maintained by the Attorney- General's Department. The site contains current authorised versions of legislative instruments and compilations in PDF format as well as historical legislation.
LAWLEX
This is a free search site which enables a user to search Commonwealth and state legislation simultaneously. Results are organised according to jurisdiction and will link through to the full text version of the Act. Legislative notes pertaining to currency and amendments since the consolidation of the Act are also provided.
Australasian Legal Information Institute (AUSTLII)
Provides full text access to Commonwealth Consolidated and Numbered Acts and Regulations which can be searched or browsed.
SCALEplus
SCALEplus contains all legislation of the Commonwealth and non self-governing territories. It does not contain state legislation or caselaw. The Acts - Current Compilations and Numbered Acts databases on SCALEplus are only up-to-date as at 31 December 2005. SCALEplus has been replaced by the ComLaw database maintained by the Attorney-General's Department.
Caselaw
Australasian Legal Information Institute (AUSTLII)
Provides access to case law from courts, tribunals and other commonwealth bodies. Includes the Federal, Federal Magistrates, High, Industrial Relations and Family Courts of Australia, the Administrative Appeals and Takeovers Panel Decisions. Dates vary according to each court and tribunal.
Australian Competition & Consumer Commission
Provides access to the decisions of the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission. Can be searched using keywords.
Federal Court of Australia
This site contains a link to Austlii though which most decisions are available, judgments that have not been able to be loaded onto AustLII due to technical reasons are loaded on this site.
Family Court of Australia
Recent Family Court judgments are available and the site links through to Austlii for decisions from 1998 onwards.
