MBC Law is a legal practice with a team of experienced solicitors and qualified personnel. MBC Law specialise in in a wide range of areas of practice including the buying and selling of commercial and residential property and businesses, leasing, business structures, arranging finance, mortgages and securities, family trusts, probate and estate work.
MBC also undertake litigation including all areas of civil and commercial disputes, claims relating to contracts, matrimonial property and de facto property, insolvency and bankruptcy, employment and dissolution of marriage. They appear in both the High Court and District Court as well as undertaking arbitrations and mediations.

MBC are seeking a final year law student to help sort and scan documents into a document management system and general office duties including filing and deeds. No previous experience is required but a genuine interest in drafting and document structure and an enthusiasm for technology is essential.
The position is available for as long as the student benefits; it is not work that another lawyer would do but would allow the applicant to see a wide range of documents and categorize them under supervision before scanning. Also some older documents can be put into plain English so they could practice drafting.
There will be the opportunity to attend and observe at court and participate at client interviews.
