09 AUG 2017 17:30 - THE SHILLING CLUB , CANTERBURY
**Thank you. We are no longer accepting regsitrations to this event as it is full**
Following a very successful event last year, ADLS in association with the University of Canterbury Law Students’ Society (LAWSOC) invites Young Lawyers practicing in Canterbury area to register for the Young Lawyer & Student Buddy Evening. This event offers young lawyers the opportunity to become a mentor to a final year student.
Mentoring is one of the most significant ways that a young lawyer can help a law student prepare for their entry into the profession. An hour or two of your time each month can be a rewarding experience for you and a great support to students as they face important decisions that may influence their legal career.
If you are interested in participating in this event and becoming a mentor, ADLS and the LAWSOC will make contact will match you with a student who you will meet on the night over drinks and canapes. We will also provide you with a brief overview on mentoring, to support you in building your mentoring relationship.
The law students from the University of Canterbury Law Students' Society would really appreciate your participation in this initiative.
