29 MAY 2017 - PLAYHOUSE FOYER, UNIVERSITY OF WAIKATO , WAIKATO
Following a very successful event last year, ADLS, in association with the Waikato University Law Students Association (WULSA) invites young lawyers (1-5 years' PQE) practising is the Waikato area to register for the Young Lawyer & Student Buddy Evening. This event offers young lawyers the opportunity to become a mentor to a final year law student.
Mentoring is one of the most significant ways that a young lawyer can help a student prepare for their entry into the legal profession. An hour or two of your time each month can be a rewarding experience for you and a great support to students as they face important decisions that may influence their legal career.
If you are interested in participating in this event and becoming a mentor, ADLS and the WULSA will make contact with you to match you with a student who you will meet on the night over drinks and canapes. We will also provide you with a brief overview on mentoring to support you in building your mentoring relationship. To be eligible you will need to have from 1-5 years post qualification experience and reside in the Waikato.
The law students from the WULSA would really appreciate your participation in this initiative.
