The Members Special Fund has been setup to assist Members and their dependants in times of need and hardship. There is no formal procedure for applications to the fund.

To assess an application, the Members Special Fund Committee, in the strictest confidence, will request information setting out in some detail the nature of the financial difficulty. This information will include details on the applicant’s income, liabilities and assets and an indication of what assistance is sought.

Assistance is generally either by an interest-free loan repayable by monthly instalments or, in special cases, a grant.
